Does anyone in the community have insights on the potential for ultra-wide band technology for use in different high-accuracy geolocation services?
These solutions are in process of being deployed all around the world, but still early days. Any leads would be appreciated!

You should contact Éric Bourbeau from X-Telia.

I am working with UWB technology from Qorvo (previously Decawave). 10cm precision and very good for indoor localization. I know that we have a member in AIoT Canada that has worked a lot with this technology: Tribor Design.

Montreal-based Spark Microsystems has developed ultra-low power UWB ICs and has dev kits available (even on DigiKey now!)  Although they are more focused on 1:1 ultra-low-power data transfer at the moment (ex: audio), their ICs can do time-of-flight ranging with excellent accuracy under the right conditions.
